Traditional Japanese Sake - Hokuso Sanyu

A signature sake from the Washinoo sake brewery, this sake combines the qualities of two local rice varieties and the water flowing from Mount Iwate. A traditional sweet and fruity sake with a tangy finish. Its aromas are appetizing, ripe banana and butter envelop floral fragrances (pear blossom). The pastry character asserts itself during the finish. On the palate, the combination of the aromatic rice variety Gin Ginga and Gin Otome, which adds body, gives a round and fruity character, counterbalanced by a more bitter finish rich in umami. This sake was designed to be shared among friends in a friendly atmosphere. A delicacy distributed only in the Iwate region (and here). The sommelier's opinion "A perfect accompaniment to a sake, with a mouthwatering finish, thanks to the Yamahai method, which provides a lovely acidity balanced here by a focus on roundness. This sake also has the advantage of being enjoyed on its own. I recommend it with grilled white fish!"
