The Fountain

It all started one Tuesday morning when a hat emerged from the water, plop. Later it was a ball, then a sofa, then a rocking horse. Sometimes huge gifts, sometimes delicious, with a mustache or on wheels. The townspeople began to gather in the village square, ever more numerous to question the origin of these gifts. We even saw experts arrive to study the phenomenon. But one Tuesday morning like any other, a strange thing happened.
