Yamala Felted Silk Scarves - Flaming Red

Our new gorgeous felt and silk scarves are handcrafted by our producers in Kathmandu, one of the leading Fair Trade felt companies in Nepal. Recycled silk is overlain with brushstrokes of felt to create rich textures and colours and a luxurious feel. The scarves are both warm, surprisingly lightweight and soft to touch. Available in 7 colours but please remember each is unique depending on the beautiful scarf that the felt overlay has been added to. All our colourful felt products are handmade by one of the leading, and most inspiring felt making producers in Nepal. It is a Fair Trade company which provides training and work for women within some of the poorest communities in Nepal - to date the company has empowered more than 100 women. It is truly a community where they sing and dance whilst creating beautiful designs made from felt. They are committed to being as “green” as possible through their choice of raw materials and dyes as well as using solar energy to help run its operations. The felt is made from merino wool and has no artificial colours or dyes. Each item is handmade and by purchasing one of our felt items you are helping continue the fantastic work of our producers.
