Brachiosaurus

The Brachiosaurus is a gigantic dinosaur. Its name means "Lizard with arms". This long-necked herbivore could reach 25m in length and weigh 30 tonnes, or 6 elephants!! Its neck measured up to 10 meters high, the equivalent of a 4-story building. The Brachiosaurus, the largest herbivore among the dinosaurs, could therefore graze on ferns on the ground as well as reach the tops of trees. He ate more than a ton of plants a day. It was built massively, so seemed very sturdy but a little slow. Unlike other dinosaurs, its front legs were longer than its hind legs.
