Easily recognizable by its very large dorsal spines, it is assumed that it had a veil fulfilling the function of thermal regulator. The Spinosaurus, which lived in the Cretaceous, was both carnivorous and piscivorous. Both long, narrow and equipped with many straight teeth, the skull of Spinosaurus is similar in shape to that of crocodiles.
