"Inhabited" by this conviction, Pascal Lescroart, French veterinary doctor, is launching a challenge!
To improve the well-being of the animals cared for in his clinic, in 2006 he invented the first prototype of a mobile kibble dispenser with adjustable flow: the Pipolino®.
The adventure is on.

The following year, Pascal Lescroart creates with Marie-Claude, his wife, the eponymous company, PIPOLINO.

The story:
A graduate of the National Veterinary School of Toulouse in 1971, Pascal Lescroart completed 3 years of "tour de France" to strengthen his professional knowledge, then moved to Normandy in 1975. After a few years of activity in Brittany, he created in 1989 his clinic on the Côte d'Azur, in Saint-Laurent-du-Var.

For more than 45 years, he has thus carried out his veterinary activity with pets confronted with varied environments: countryside, suburban area, city. From the first years of this long experience, he checked that the main diseases were specific to each group of animals and observed the impact of lifestyle on their health. The more frequent obesity of apartment cats, their earlier mortality and the absence of real instruments for enriching their living environment led Dr Lescroart to design in 2007 the first Pipolino® model, the M.

Tested on several dozen overweight cats, the Pipolino® gives results beyond all expectations. All the cats lost weight, quickly regained the desire to play, and then permanently recovered from chronic illnesses from which they had sometimes suffered for years.
These results prompted the veterinarian to test Pipolino® on more than 3,500 cats, dogs, ferrets and rabbits treated in his clinic on the Côte d'Azur, as a preventive measure or in addition to medical treatments. In most cases, the well-being of these animals is visibly improved, chronic diseases have regressed, or even completely disappeared, and behavioral disorders (such as aggressiveness, dirtiness, destruction, facial dermatitis, compulsive licking, hyperactivity) have disappeared. dissipated.

Convinced by this intrinsic link between food and health, Pascal Lescroart founded in 2007, in the south of France, the company PIPOLINO® SARL.

Dr. Lescroart wishes, through his company, not only to make known the effects of Pipolino®, to market it and to adapt it to all pets, but also to design and manufacture other instruments promoting the joy of living and the well-being - to be animals. For each of the products offered for sale, he files a patent with the INPI.
Pascal's wife, Marie-Claude, manager, and her daughter Morgane, a veterinarian like him, contribute intensely to the development of the company for animal welfare. In particular, they participate in many exhibitions dedicated to animals:
Birmingham, Nuremberg, Tokyo, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Stockholm.

There are currently 7 different models of Pipolino®. Each responds to an expectation, a need, a desire for improvement. They have been designed according to the pet that uses it and the dimensions of the kibble ingested: from the S model, intended for small animals such as guinea pigs, ferrets and rabbits, to the XXL model, which is suitable for horses of more than 250 kg.

Now recognized and appreciated in France and abroad, the Pipolino® has been sold
over 250,000 copies worldwide since 2007.

Two new products are under development:
the Yoyolino®, a device designed for the well-being on the go for both dogs and
masters, and the Agualino®, a drinking trough for cats and dogs.

Created in 2007, SARL PIPOLINO® is developing rapidly in France and in several countries
French-speaking people, thanks to the success of Pipolino® M. Its results are indeed relayed by many buyers, as well as by some pioneering veterinarians who make it known around them.
The profits made are used to design and market models for dogs,
ferret and rabbit, pony and horse.
In 2014, to meet growing demand, a storage and logistics unit was created in the USA.
From 2017, the founders of the company surround themselves with collaborators to develop
communication and create new innovative instruments favorable to animal welfare.

Where does your passion for pets come from?
- Very young, I had the chance to live surrounded by cats, dogs and birds, with parents who taught me to respect them and provide them with the best possible living conditions. Living at their level, with the impression that they understood me, I wanted to understand them better myself. Later, I oriented my studies around animals. Even today, I continue to marvel at each new discovery.

- Tolerant, hardworking, optimistic.
- Who was the first Pipolino® test animal?
- Our Cat-Cat, Siamese 21 years old, in 2006.
For a few months, she had been "dragging" between her cushion, her bowls and her litter. Totally sedentary on less than 1 m², her general condition had deteriorated, she no longer washed and regurgitated her small meals several times a week. Despite all the care and affection given to him, he only had a few months left to live.
It was then that Cat-Cat was offered the first prototype of the Pipolino®, to replace its kibble bowl. Luckily, she adopts it immediately, probably because of her acid hunger.
The same evening, she seems more active, comes out of her "retreat" and washes up again.
The next day, she walks in the garden for the first time in over a year!
A few days later, she jumps on a low wall over a meter high that she was avoiding
for several years. A miracle !
Then it was more than 3 years of happy life, without problems, until the heart of
Cat-Cat naturally shuts down while sleeping.
- Where does the name Pipolino® come from?
- From the English “pipe”, a tube that brings energy, and “lino”, an Italian affective diminutive. This name was given by the Turin prototypists of Ferrari, happy to invest in the "Gatto" next to the "Cavallo".
- An anecdote that you want to share?
- When I proposed the name “Pipolino” to the then marketing agency in 2006, its director told me that this choice would be a handicap to commercial development. I then replied:
"I promised it to my Italian prototypist friends, I'm taking the risk!
If the product is good, its name will be respected, if it is not good, it will disappear, whatever its name! »

- A collective success: my family.

- Double the life expectancy of pets, bringing them the advantages of domestication and the advantages of life in the wild, without their disadvantages. Today, it is no longer a utopia. We still have a lot to learn from Nature.

The Pipolino concept:

The Pipolino® is a mobile, fun and adjustable-flow distributor of dry food (kibbles, pellets, seeds, treats) that the animal rolls to feed slowly.
The food comes out of the openings of the Pipolino® provided for this purpose.
Distributor of croquettes and toy, it is above all an object of animal well-being.
It improves the daily life of animals (and that of owners), and therefore their health thanks to its many benefits (non-exhaustive list):

Top 6 advice from Dr. Lescroart for Pipolino® users:

During initiation, remove other food sources, be patient and trust your pet's intelligence.
When using the Platolino®, during the initiation, place a few kibbles in the center of the tray, under the Pipolino®.
Gradually reduce the feed rate to a minimum.
Do not roll the Pipolino® in front of an anxious cat and do not watch it when it approaches the Pipolino®.
Teach your dog not to bite the Pipolino®.
After initiation, fill the Pipolino® with croquettes before it is empty and offer it in self-service or in several meals.


Two new products are under development and will soon be marketed by PIPOLINO® SARL. Their little names: Yoyolino® and Agualino®.

The Yoyolino® is the first harness designed for the well-being on the go of both dogs and owners. Based on his observations on dog physiology, Pascal Lescroart has remedied the numerous coercive or vulnerating effects of existing collars and harnesses.
Composed of two reins placed around the dog's shoulders and two reels, the Yoyolino® acts effectively thanks to a gentle "embrace" of the dog's shoulders. It saves him the stress, pain and lesions of traction or compression, usual with the collar or the harness as soon as the leash is pulled to slow the dog down or make him change direction.
It also has a discreet sound device, which allows the dog to respond more
