Polydaun B.V. has its origins in 1955. As a manufacturer of, among other things, rainwear and bicycle bags of the Greenlands® brand, Mr. G. Otten opened the doors of the company on 1 April that year in Silvolde, formerly under the name Otsi BV.

After a series of relocations, due to the growth of the company, the company has been operating in Doetinchem at Edisonstraat 98 since 1996. It was thought that this new construction would make a new relocation a thing of the past. Nevertheless, the company was soon forced to rent additional storage space, by expanding the range with duvets and pillows. At the end of 2005, this resulted in the takeover of the building of the "neighbor" at Edisonstraat no. 80.

In 2015, the Polydaun® brand is acquired. It all started for this brand in 1962 in Sweden. The Swedish Polydun is one of the first European companies to market sleeping bags. Daughter Polydaun, responsible for the Dutch market, is so successful that it eventually becomes independent. Polydaun does not sit still and soon comes with a completely new product: the duvet. An innovation that represents an enormous evolution in sleeping comfort. In the eighties of the last century, almost everyone switched from the (wool) blanket to the duvet. Within a few years, Polydaun will grow into the largest manufacturer in the Benelux of synthetic fiber duvets and pillows.

Polydaun® is still the market leader and specialist in synthetic fiber duvets. This is of course only possible by offering a wide range of sleeping items for on and under the mattress. An optimal and healthy sleeping climate is created by combining the duvet with a pillow and the right protection, such as a molton cover and molton pillowcase. The range of the Polydaun® brand therefore has four core products: duvets, pillows, mattress protection and of course the sleeping bags.
