Artichoke Greeting card, square, blank inside

This is my 15cms square greeting card, blank inside for your own message. This design is inspired by a field of Artichoke seedheads which I saw while on holiday in Crete. It was one of those Stop The Car Now moments! I adored the strong sculptural shapes of the dried flower heads and tried to capture that in this original design, which I made by hand using paper, scissors and glue. I choose tones of pink, purple and lilac because, to me, that reflected both the intensity of the sunshine in Crete and the energy and vibrancy of this beautiful plant when it had been at the height of its beauty. I hope you, and the recipient, both enjoy this card! Supplied with a plain white envelope and comes in a protective cello bag.
