Welcome to Montpellier and more particularly to the gardens of Peyrou. This promenade, the construction of which was decided at the end of the 17th century, was intended to receive an equestrian statue of Louis XIV. The terraces were to allow contemplation of the Cévennes and the Pyrenees. Then was built a 7 km aqueduct intended to supply Montpellier with water from the source of the Lez.
