proper nutty started out in Yorkshire in 2012 by two fanatical peanut-butter-on-everything type folks. we set out to create a nut butter that felt and tasted hand-crafted and artisan but on a slightly larger scale. our original site was in Dewsbury and was just big enough to accommodate our roaster and our smuncher with a bit of breathing room.
in the last ten years we may have moved sites (now among the hills in Huddersfield) but the secret to a good nut butter remains - it's handled with care.
we only use peanuts that we're proud of and we believe in the highest possible % of nuts to give you the best nut butter experience possible. our nuts our ground within a matter of minutes of being roasted because we do it all on site to ensure it's done to our super high standards.
