Back in the days before the big machines took over, there were a few different ways to combine multiple fabric layers into a quilt. One of them was to simply knot them together many times. These knots hold the layers in place so they don’t shift as the quilt is used. For our quilted Vega denim jacket we revisited this traditional technique and hand knotted our jacket with dark red wool threads, resulting in visible knots that add a distinctive texture and charm to each piece.
