Pic du Midi d'Ossau poster

The Pic du Midi d'Ossau rises to 2,884 meters and is located in the western French Pyrenees, in the Béarnaise part of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. It is the emblematic summit of the Ossau valley which gives it its name. The first ascent of the Ossau took place at the end of the 18th century, probably by several Béarn shepherds on August 19, 1790. The Pic du Midi d'Ossau massif is crossed by the GR 10, between the refuge of Ayous and Gabas . Several hiking trails allow you to approach the peak.
