The aim of deep loosening is to stimulate root growth by optimizing water and air permeability. How does the lawn claw work? The lawn claw is inserted into the ground and before lifting it out, the handle is pulled at an angle of approx. 5-15° to further loosen the soil. When loosening the soil deeply, between 60 - 100 holes per m² should be dug. Our lawn claw has 5 full spoons, so you would have to pierce 12 – 20 times per m². We recommend the lawn claw for a lawn area of up to 200 m². Subsequent sanding is not necessary. No soil is removed through the full spoons, the holes are kept open so that water and air can reach the roots. When should deep loosening be carried out? This measure is ideal for lawn care in winter. We recommend that you only carry out deep loosening when the lawn is no longer walked on so often, because by raising the soil with the breaking angle, the lawn should first root downwards, otherwise unevenness will occur. In most regions, November or December makes sense. There is usually no snow yet and the subsequent frost breaks up the deeper layers again.Technical details Handle made of either stainless steel or powder-coated steel in the colors green, orange and anthracite The spoons are screwed directly into the frame (the threads are provided with assembly paste at the factory) If fewer than 5 spoons are to be mounted, the remaining screw holes can be closed with a screw (M10x20) and are protected against dirt We offer 2 handle lengths to ensure back-friendly work: Normal handle length (86cm without spoons): for people up to 1.80m tall Long handle length (95cm without spoons): for people over 1.80m tall Supplied with 5 full spoons o Material: stainless steel o Diameter of your choice o Length of your choice o Elongated tip for easy piercing
