Manchester's answer to The Beatles, The Hollies had hit after hit in the Sixties. The incredible harmony singing of Allan Clarke and Graham Nash, and the expert guitar lines of Tony Hicks, scored them more Sixties hits than either The Rolling Stones or The Kinks. But when Nash quit to join Crosby Stills & Nash it looked like The Hollies might be history.
