The Bookshop Band - Live in American Bookshops In late 2018 The New York Times laid down a challenge. 'If America's independent booksellers can't figure a way to get The Bookshop Band to tour America, they're doing something wrong'. Evidently, it turns out, they were doing things right! The following year the American Booksellers' Association invited the band to head on over. This LIVE album follows The Bookshop Band on their unusual and unique debut US tour, performing in bookshops from New Jersey to New York, Colorado to New Mexico. As we travel with the band the songs and stories are wrapped in each bookshop's natural ambience, and held tightly in the arms of the audience. This album was recorded before lockdown and captures in abundance why bookshops are ambassadors of culture on the high street, where people can not only revel in a story, but also meet and create their own. This album is a celebration of music and bookshops, the people who run them and the people who walk through their doors. This limited edition vinyl comes with a 24-page tour photo book and an extended digital download. It is housed in a gold-foiled gatefold sleeve. Disc 11. Once Upon a Time - The Bookshop Band2.
