Ground nutmeg has a very intense taste. A knife point is often enough to refine aromatic dishes. Nutmeg can be used wonderfully for baking and as an alternative to nutmeg. The spice tastes great in mashed potatoes, in soups, in sauces, with cabbage, with (baked) cheese and of course in desserts.
