This cork comes from the bark of a Cork Oak, which is harvested every few years without harming the tree itself. After the cork is removed, the tree rejuvenates its bark – a completely renewable and sustainable process. Cork bark rejuvenation absorbs CO2 from the air and the material itself is bio-degradable, leaving zero toxic or chemical remains. The bottom layer of the mat is made from natural rubber, which is harvested from rubber trees via a rubber tapping process. This layer adds additional comfort whilst making sure the mat stays straight at all times.
