This seed kit, designed in collaboration with Seed Pantry is for kids young and old!, it's the perfect introduction to growing fresh produce at home. Containing seeds to grow carrots, pumpkins, turnips, and wild strawberries, along with biodegradable pots for the seedlings, organic compost, and beautifully illustrated grow guides with space for notes and colouring in. The collection at Cambridge University Library contains many documents from the life of the great naturalist Charles Darwin, including letters, photographs, and first drafts of his ground-breaking books. But his children added their own contributions: highly inventive and often humorous scribbles and sketches, added to the reverse of these manuscripts. This seed growing kit is inspired by a series of illustrations by Darwin's children known as 'The Battle of Fruits and Vegetables'.
