Our cork SOAP DISH is a 2 in 1. 
The breathable grooves design on two sides allows the soap to drain naturally, prolonging its service life and keeping your bathroom dry and clean.   Convenient and practical to use in two modes: 1. 
By positioning the soap vertically in two deep grooves, the exit of excess water will be facilitated, thus allowing natural ventilation which will guarantee the product quick drying; 2. 
By placing the soap on three light grooves, you will avoid unpleasant water stagnation which could deteriorate the product itself.   This product has been hand finished by the island's artisans, 100% handmade in Sardinia. Cork is a totally natural and breathable material: its use does not damage the plant like wood could, it does not pollute like aluminum could, it breathes: so your solid product will dry even if placed in a container closed while preserving its compactness intact.   In fact, since it is breathable, your solid can be stored inside even moistened! 
Safe transportation for travel or when you are away from home.   We want to say a few words about cork processing Soft gold, as they call it in Sardinia, is extracted, as the law requires: every 10 years. 
If the thickness is not considered adequate, you can wait up to 15 years, in full respect of the time of creation!   The operation is carried out by expert personnel who cut the bark on the surface without damaging the delicate underlying tissues, so the tree will continue to thrive.   Thanks to the exfoliation of the cork, the tree continues to produce more oxygen, helping to clean the air we all breathe.   Just think that in one year, cork trees in Italy alone produce 14 million tons of oxygen!   Cork tree forests are called cork groves and have been preserved over the centuries thanks to their functionality. 
Wine bottle stoppers, amphorae lids and other objects were made with this material.   But modern society wants objects that are easier to produce and take less time to use.
