Cinque Stelle gave the go-ahead to "the wise kitchen and the happy table", a project by Serafino Zani through which Ettore Sottsass put steel back at the center of research on objects, with the main objective of "redesigning" the kitchen and the common table, of popular memory, with contemporary languages. The name itself, wanted by Ettore Sottsass, reveals a good dose of irony which underlines an idea far from glamour, but aimed at the quiet normality of simple, high quality things. Large thicknesses, wide profiles, consistency and weight, to offer a solid relationship with the object. Simple and almost archetypal shapes, to be used calmly, to suggest pleasure in eating. Serafino Zani offers cutlery for all ways and styles of enjoying the table. All series are suitable for both everyday use and the elegant table of special occasions: they include both individual place settings (including specialized cutlery and various sizes of teaspoons) and the serving series. The cutlery maintains the design and production quality typical of all Serafino Zani products: they are perfectly balanced and pleasant to the touch, built with very thick 18/10 quality stainless steel, perfectly polished and finished by hand. The Cinque Stelle cutlery is part of the project "The wise kitchen and the happy table".
