We produce 17 million tons of wrapping paper waste every year worldwide. That's crazy! It's so easy to avoid. Featuring beautiful, illustrated fabric gift towels. Furoshiki, a Japanese tradition. Above all, the versatile application possibilities of the square cloths are fascinating.
With our gift towels from shickii, we want to help ensure that giving in this country can be in harmony with our resources, but still chic, environmentally conscious and modern.
We rely on organic cotton when selecting our fabrics. Attention is paid to the conscious use of our resources. Organic cotton uses approx. 80% less water than conventional cotton. Furthermore, fair working conditions are one of the testing standards for organic cotton, not only during cultivation but also during processing.
We continue this standard and ensure fair remuneration for our German seamstresses.
We source all (except for three samples) fabrics from Poland. The fabrics are printed with organic paint. For climatic reasons it is not possible to obtain the raw material cotton from the EU; it comes from Pakistan.
