It was a four petal flower that inspired me to make this stud earrings. Once it's finished different shape of the petals just decided to exist independently, it works great because a pattern isn't something I intend to create for this gem. It curves to the right, and to the left, like a butterfly on a flower, I would like to imagine it that way. If you wear it upside down, only the bigger petals are on the top, they are a butterfly pair.
