Crackling foils are incorporated into the tail feathers and the green leaf, and a vibrating rattle is placed between the leaf and the wing. If the baby pulls on it, the leaf rattles back onto the owl's wing. Another acoustic highlight is the rattle ring on the right wing. This can also be used as a grip ring. There is a biting surface hidden on one of the owl's feet – this can provide relief when your child is teething.
