MacaKit is the first kit in the world that allows you to raise the beautiful Macaone (Papilio machaon) butterflies at home. Suitable for all ages, the kit allows you to discover all the secrets of these wonderful insects up close and to admire them in all their beauty. Inside the package there is everything necessary (food, breeding containers and instructions) to make the caterpillars complete the transformation up to the butterfly stage. Once the butterflies have come out of the chrysalis envelope it will be possible to release them into nature allowing them to continue their life cycle: it will be a unique emotion to see them take their first flight. The Macaone butterfly, due to its magnificent colours, is one of the most beautiful species in Europe. MacaKit is suitable for people of all ages and is also an excellent gift idea to stimulate curiosity and spirit of observation. Being insects it is possible that during the experience some caterpillars do not complete the transformation being subject to a certain physiological mortality. The instructions and the number of caterpillars provided will in any case guarantee the success of the experience. The caterpillars will NOT be present in the kit upon arrival of the MacaKit but will be sent with a second free shipment. The shipment will be made after the customer has made a request through the voucher in the package. The caterpillars can be ordered from 18 March 2023.
