Solar System

Our solar system consists of the sun and eight planets orbiting around it. All of these planets are held in orbit around the sun by gravity. The solar system as we know it today arose about 4.5 billion years ago from a gas cloud. There is only one star in our solar system, the sun. Almost half of all stars have their own solar system with planets! But all those planets in our solar system, what are they called and in what order are they? Seen from the sun they are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Fortunately, from now on you have this pair of socks to remind you of this!
