They combine comforting softness, cuddliness and good support. This pillow can be used on both sides and offers you two different combinations of shape and climate properties. In addition, the pillow meets the requirements of the supine position as well as those of the side position. A flat lying zone in the middle and increased support volume on the outside allow optimal support for both positions. You can change the firmness and lying height of the pillow by adding or removing filling material. In order to form a relatively flat support for the prone position, a standard pillow without quilting is recommended. Balls of wool are created by mechanically rolling wool fibers. Care wool filling The natural wool fat (lanolin) of the filling is bacteria-inhibiting and dirt-repellent, which is why regular airing is usually sufficient. The filling can be washed at 30°C on a wool cycle with a mild wool detergent. After a high-speed spin cycle, there is hardly any residual moisture left and the pillow can be completely dried in the air. If you want to wash the cushion cover and the filling separately, you can also use the speltex® special laundry net for the wool balls. Attention: The filling is not suitable for the tumble dryer! Please note that the filling unfortunately also loses a little of its natural wool fat content with each wash. If the pillow is to be stored closed for a long period of time, tightly sealed foil packaging is recommended to protect against moths. A pillow that is used, moved and aerated is not at risk. Millet shells are as cuddly as soft sand and practically silent when moved. So that their advantageous properties are retained during use, they are soaked in a bath of natural rubber milk. Once the sap of the rubber tree has permeated and saturated the grain husks, they are dried and heated. The solid rubber with its indestructible durability gives them stability and durability. Millet shells with rubber are dust-free and very resistant to fine abrasion. Its open pores and its high capacity to absorb moisture are retained even with the approximately 5% rubber content. Certified organic quality speltex® organic millet husks were obtained in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007. They are tested by the LACON Institute (state-approved test center according to the EU organic regulation) for their origin from organic cultivation. The rubber milk comes from sustainable forestry in Sri Lanka. Care The filling can be washed up to 60° C, preferably in a special washing net. This enables quick drying with repeated turning in the sun or in the dryer. Please pay attention to complete drying. If you want a flatter, more forgiving pillow, remove some of the filling. By adding it you get a higher cushion and more supportive firmness. The shells, which are slightly flaky due to the rubber, come loose from each other during use. This makes the filling even smoother. Due to the rubber impregnation, the shells are very break-resistant and can be used for ten years and more. They curl up a bit when they are lying down.
