Hong Pacong born in the town of Pyon, her parents were farmers and she took advantage of the opportunity to make money by working with local artisans. Eventually, she learned how to create sterling silver jewelry and began selling her pieces locally. With enough savings, she opened her own workshop and began selling her pieces to the public.
