pickles

Pickles, is a living ecosystem. After long experimentation, Spruitje found the right combination of plants and mosses to create a world of raw nature, which is almost completely self-sufficient. The moss and condensation form the basis of this and keep the system stable. Because each work is a unique environment, it is important to establish a connection with the biotope yourself. The Pickles ecosystem lives in a pot previously used for pickles. You open it like you would open a pot, very simple. Because it is a world of living nature, Pickles is constantly changing. Sometimes you will see more condensation than other times, it may be that plants die, mushrooms suddenly appear or other remarkable developments take place. It is a living system that does what it wants. The condensation is part of the design. In fact, that ensures that the work is self-sustaining. It works a bit like rain in nature and will therefore vary in intensity. Sometimes you see more condensation in the pot than other times. Ideally, the humidity in the ecosystem is above 40%. The moss, which forms the basis of the world, does its job optimally with that balance. The moss prefers a nice dark green. A guideline to keep the biotope well moist is 50 to 100 ml every 2 to 3 months. add descaled water. Descaling can be done simply by boiling water without a lid. Of course let it cool down well. It is easiest to spray the water with a pressure sprayer (plant sprayer) into the glass, so that you can also immediately spray the glass clean. Cleaning the inside of the glass can also be done with a bottle brush. After a few weeks you will notice that the ecosystem is leading its own life. Plants suddenly grow very quickly (or not at all), you discover a mushroom, the moss changes colour... Don't be alarmed if a plant dies, this also happens in nature and is part of the cycle. You can order new plants on Spruitje.nu if you wish. Dead leaves or plants that grow too large can be trimmed. The lighting in the design is purely aesthetic. It is an LED light that emits little heat and therefore has no influence on the ecosystem. If the light breaks, replace it with an identical bulb (LED). Pickles, can't have direct sunlight as it will get too hot. Bright, indirect sunlight does ensure a good balance in the ecosystem, so a bright room is desirable. - For indoor use only. - Only suitable for E27 LED lamps with a maximum power of 5 Watt. - Remove the plug from the wall socket before changing the LED lamp. - Always remove the plug from the wall socket before taking care of the plants. - Always remove the cap with the fitting completely before taking care of the plants, the electrical part must not get wet. - Place the lighting on a stable, flat surface.
