Founders and chief Squishers Zoe and Aaron started Squishable in 2007 in New York City’s Soho, after deciding that plush was much more interesting than working in tech. The products were much cuter, the people were nicer, and folks didn’t mind as much when you broke into uncontrollable giggles (something that’s not acceptable, say, when analyzing someone’s server security).
Aaron: ‘We like the world, so we try to make it a better place. We advertise with webcomics and sponsor artists, and every month we donate to charity for each picture we receive from our users. And every little while we auction off our prototypes for charity too!
