studio sturmblau, that's Silke Grassl & Team. The company is based near Konstanz on Lake Constance. Since 2018 we have been producing candles using the casting and drawing process. Since 2020, however, only in the dyeing process (dip dye) - and under the label "studio sturmblau". We love colors and we love creating beautiful, colorful and creative things with our hands. Candles give light and candles warm: the soul and the heart. We value sustainable and compatible materials. This is reflected in our candles and our price structure. We let ourselves be inspired by the colors of the water, Lake Constance, the sky, the play of light, nature, photography and design.
Sustainability starts with the decision for quality!
All candles are made from sustainable STEARIN (with a few exceptions, which are marked accordingly). The candle blanks are manufactured under the Nordic Ecolabel, also known as the Nordic Swan or "The Swan". This is the official eco-label of the Nordic countries. The NORDISCHE SCHWAN (Nordic Swan Ecolabel) is a type I eco-label (ISO 14024), as a statement about the environmental compatibility of products compared to competing products is made by independent third parties. Every three to five years, the respective criteria are reviewed and revised if necessary. At 94%, awareness of the mark in Scandinavia is significantly higher than that of the Blue Angel (76%) in Germany.
We try to use mainly recycled packaging material and deliberately avoid costly, commercial individual packaging of candles.
