This poster represents Katarina Church in Stockholm, located on the eastern Södermalm on Högbergsgatan. It is a very old church built in the latter half of the 17th century with construction starting in 1656 and completed in 1695. Katarina Church has been in need of rebuilding twice after being destroyed by fires, first in 1723 and then again 1990. The eight-sided dome that the church is known for comes from the first reconstruction. Buy paintings and posters online, perfect for both the private home and the office. After the second fire, much was done to prevent a third. The church is now built with fire cells, a modern sprinkler system, and an electronic fire alarm system.
