Posters By Sofia Church - Stockholm

This print depicts Sofia Church, located on Södermalm in Stockholm. The design of the church was selected after an architectural competition in 1899, which Gustaf Hermansson won. The construction itself began in 1902 and the church was consecrated four years later, named after Oscar II's wife: Sophia of Nassau. The church has been restored and renovated several times, but it is largely the same building as it has been since it was built. Not entirely unexpectedly, Sofia Church is the parish church for Sofia Stift's congregation. With us, you will find many wonderful posters online with well-known Stockholm motifs. Interesting fact: Sofia Church is built 46 meters above sea level, at the highest point in the park Vita Bergen. The second highest point has a music pavilion.
