The manufactory for shoe and leather care
Since 1983, ecological care products for shoes and leather have been handcrafted in the Tapir manufactory. Renewable raw materials form the basis of all Tapir products. It is not only our recipes that are consistently natural and transparent, but the entire company.
So the philosophy of the small manufactory is simple and plain:

Sustainability at Tapir
All Tapir products are certified according to the strict NCP standard and are allowed to carry the Natur Care Product LOGO. The renunciation of plastic bottles, instead glass and tin packaging, no synthetic surfactants, oils and fats, no silicones, parabens, phthalates, no microplastics, that is a matter of course for us. Everything without genetic engineering that is our promise. We have long been on the positive list of the German Animal Welfare Association and reject animal testing.
Natural raw materials
You will find far more than 20 different natural raw materials from all over the world in our warehouse. We need fine waxes, high-quality oils and fats, pleasant-smelling distillates and finely ground color pigments in order to guarantee the optimum of our self-developed recipes.
In addition to regional ones - such as beeswax or linseed and rapeseed oils - there are also exotic ones such as shellac wax or candellila wax. In addition to well-known ones such as carnauba wax and jojoba oil, we have also discovered new ones such as sugar cane wax or poppy seed oil. Wherever possible, we rely on ecological cultivation and resource-saving processing. Because only the very best raw material qualities guarantee the very best care properties.
