Djura - A4 Quote Poster

Our collection of TAJMILT posters is inspired by great Amazigh figures. Poets, writers, musicians, singers, we have selected 4 men and 4 women who have marked our history. Djura, born in 1949 in Ifigha, is a singer. She founded the Kabyle folk instrumental and vocal music group, Djurdjura, in 1979. Djura, who writes the songs, is based on poems of social inspiration, but above all feminist. Marked by a particularly oppressive patriarchal family context, she associates her sisters, Fatima and Malha, with the group. In 1987, an autobiographical work appeared: the veil of silence. She tells her story and that of the group.
