Breaking waves are referred to as white horses, because the white crest looks like the mane of a horse and the crashing waves sound like hundreds of horse hooves clapping. Waves begin to break when the ratio of wave height and wavelength exceeds 1/7. Therefore, I made the wave (the wool part) about 1/7 of the entire tapestry, isn't that awesome?
