V16 emergency beacon mandatory in Spain

Increased Visibility: The light emitted by the beacon is visible up to one kilometer away, even in difficult weather conditions such as fog, snow or darkness.  Ease of Use: The beacon is easily placed on the roof of the vehicle without having to get out of the car, thus reducing risks for the driver.  GPS connection: Once activated, the beacon sends its position to the Spanish General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) every 100 seconds, allowing rapid intervention by emergency services in the event of an emergency.
