Hello! My name is Filip and I'm a freelance decorative map creator based in Slovakia.
My journey into the world of cartography started during my geography studies, where I developed a fascination with maps and how they beautifully represent the world around us. As a creative individual with nearly ten years of experience in fine arts, I was inspired to blend my creativity with my passion for geography. This led me to discover the perfect blend of both fields—creating decorative maps that are not only cartographic works but also pieces of art.
What makes my maps unique is the personal dedication and care I put into each one. Every map I create is an original piece, crafted entirely by me from start to finish. I don’t rely on pre-existing templates or the work of others. Instead, I choose to follow the more challenging and rewarding path of designing everything from scratch. My process begins with precisely selecting and designing each element in cartographic software. Whether it’s settlements, roads, rivers, lakes, or other geographical features, I ensure that every detail is accurate and carefully considered. This attention to detail gives my maps their uniqueness and authenticity.
Once the cartographic phase is finished, I proceed to graphic software to add the final details. The result is a map that’s not only fully readable, accurate, and featuring the most up-to-date data but also stands out as an original work that enhances any interior space. My warm, rich color palette is designed to complement a variety of interior styles, from modern to vintage, making these maps versatile pieces for your home or office.
