All of our rugs here at The Basket Room are crafted by Bernard, who weaves each sisal mat on his hand-loom in rural Kenya. Our handwoven floor mats are woven from sisal, a fibrous grass. The leaves are split, rolled and hand dyed before Bernard works the fibres through his loom, creating a fine, flat, and durable weave. This beautiful, ethically produced rug is available in two sizes: small and runner.
