Cotton BIO fair trade bag

Our sturdy Green Lab bags are certified with the FairTrade (Flo ID: 36224) mark and the organic cotton “Global Organic Textile Standard” (GOTS) mark (CU 1165534). Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international standard for organic clothing and textiles. Just like the eco-label, the GOTS is based on 100% organic raw materials and clothing and textiles with this quality mark must consist of at least 70% organic fibres. The percentage is stated on the label. Throughout the entire chain - from harvesting the raw materials, via socially responsible production to labelling, packaging and distribution - this fabric meets the strict standard for organic textiles. This worldwide standard provides, among other things, for the use of environmentally friendly chemicals and water purification at the factories. The GOTS certification also requires compliance with social criteria in cotton cultivation and processing into fabric. This concerns matters such as minimum wage, a ban on child labor and a safe and hygienic working environment.
