Renowned for its parties, beaches and landscapes, Ibiza is the largest of the Pityuses Islands and one of the four inhabited islands of the Balearic archipelago. In 1960, Ibiza had 37,000 tourists while the summer of 2010 had 2.4 million visitors. The oldest language still practiced in Ibiza is Catalan. The island has the largest concentration of discotheques in the world, among the best known and oldest are Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia, Eden and Space. The legendary DC10 club, located at the end of the airport runway in the town of San José, is only open on Mondays. Permanent residents of the island and in all seasons, the gray wagtail and the blackbird brighten up the local gardens. Two films by Barbet Schröder take place in Ibiza: More (1969) which is set in the hippie period and Amnesia (2015) on Ibiza today.
