Our expertly handmade, eco-friendly and Fair Trade A5 journal is the perfect way to note down all of your thoughts. Stylish and unique it also makes a difference to the communities who make them, the cotton is made by a charity that promotes women's development in rural areas of Rajasthan, India. Due to the rustic and distressed nature of these handmade leather journals, each one is unique and comes with its own blend of colour, creases, blemishes and patterns that blend into the overall tone of the journal over time. 22cm x 15.3cm (A5) Made from natural leather with 125 recycled unbleached cotton paper pages made from left over rags from the massive garment industry in India. They are made in a small workshop in Rajasthan, India by skilled crafts people using a mixture of traditional and contemporary methods. We don't recommend using a fountain pen with this type of handmade paper. All the products in this range are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. We are fortunate enough to visit them every year and have worked with them for many years following Fair Trade guidelines. We are incredibly proud that together we are able to provide people in rural villages fairly paid work that may have otherwise been difficult to find, and consider the producers and their families true friends. The paper in all our journals and photo albums is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.
