Embossed Leather Photo Album

Our hand embossed photo albums are a beautiful way to display your favourite photographs. Each one is filled with 30 pages of handmade khadda paper, acid-free and interleaved with tissue paper to protect and preserve your memories. Stylish and unique, it also makes a difference to the communities who make them, the paper is made by a women's charity in rural Rajasthan, India. Carefully created by talented artisans, each and every one of our photo albums has been made following Fair Trade guidelines. Small: holds up to 60 6×4” photos. Medium: holds up to 120 6×4” photos. Large: holds up to 120 6×4” photos. Extra Large: holds up to 240 6×4” photos. Expertly crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each one is bound by hand and sturdy enough to keep all your most treasured memories safe. The leather used for the cover is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes. Protected with natural oils, it will soften and age beautifully. The pages are created from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi). This sustainable material is crafted by hand from recycled cotton, salvaged from the huge waste of the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring the paper is acid-free. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, it feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. While it’s perfect for ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, we wouldn’t recommend it for use with fountain pens. Because the paper is acid-free it is perfect for protecting and preserving photographs. Photos can be added using photo corners, spray mount or just glue. Due to the handmade nature of these products, the exact colour may slightly vary, but loveliness comes as standard.
