Excellent EXTRA QUALITY organic stone-baked nougat, traditionally made by master nougat makers from Xixona (Alicante), using ingredients from organic farming and fair trade. This is the stone nougat that has been made for decades in Xixona using local almonds. In this case, Oxfam Intermón has added the rest of the ingredients from Fair Trade cooperatives so that the result, in addition to being delicious, also has a positive impact on all the farmers who contribute their labor. The ingredients used in the recipe for these nougats are grown by small producers organized in cooperatives. The cocoa comes from Bolivia, the unrefined cane sugar from Paraguay, and the honey from Argentina. The almonds used come from local organic farming. Specifically, they come from organic almond trees in the town of El Pinós, also located in the province of Alicante.
