The can is made of the plastic-free biopolymer lignin, wood fibers and a small amount of corn starch. A composite material is produced that the injection molding machines can work with. Lignin forms, among other things, the scaffolding substance for plant cell walls. Around 50 million tons are produced worldwide every year as a by-product in the paper industry and remain largely unused. This by-product is used to produce raw materials, thereby avoiding additional deforestation. No organic plastic is added to our unicorn® soap box. The ecological idea behind the unicorn® soap box is our goal for a plastic-free world. It would be a shame to transport a plastic-free natural soap in a plastic container.
