Utopia #2 - Rum and Calvados - 55% - 50cl

Spirit drink, 60% 20-year-old Calvados, 30% 15-year-old Trinidad and Tobago rum, 10% 14-year-old Belize rum. "These notes were written by a professional, do not attempt to reproduce them at home. Good ! Where to start.. Here we are in the presence of a daring, quite crazy assembly, and who would have believed it, which is (really) successful! The definition of the Utopia range is that: 1 + 1 = 3, the sum of the two elements exceeds their simple addition.  So what about 1 + 1 + 1? The first nose opens with apple reduced to compote and cooked for around 182 hours (thanks Calvados!),then assembled into cookies that we would have sprinkled with fuel (thanks TDL!!),and which would have been garnished with 70% chocolate chocolate chips (thanks Belize!),before putting this joyful blend in a shaker (not a spoon) at 53%! What a nose, what a nose! The more time passes in the glass, the more the different blended spirits are revealed, a first nose of calvados, a second round for the much-loved heavy TDL. We can't take our eyes off this glass and this nose that opens up for our greatest pleasure!"It's good-good hot-hot!". Candied apple, baked William's pear with chocolate coulis, light but powerful wood, tannins present but delicious, diesel and tenderness... Everything is felt, experienced, assembled and understood; this whole is unity, complexity and discovery with every sip. Calvados and its deliciousness, its jam, Trinidad and its charm, its power, Belize and its warmth, its cocoa!
