David contre Goliath // Sweat à capuche anti-héros

Design by Raf Reyes: at the dawn of his turbulent life, Caravaggio, discouraged by the death sentence hanging on his head, painted his famous David with the head of Goliath. Goliath’s head is very similar to Caravaggio’s own one - old, suffering, with an image of abandonment. Instead, David is compassionate and pitiful, violence being absent from his face… I can’t help but interpret David as a self-portrait of a young Caravaggio, still pure, erasing his old & sinful version of self through the decapitation. Material: Long sleeve woven tapestry jacquard sweater, heavyweight 350gsm premium cotton polyester mix blend fabric. Lining for main body (premium faux fur made of polyester, modacrylic & acrylic fibers blended together → chosen for their warm and softness properties).
