Description: Zwolle - Sassenpoort Postcards The Sassenpoort in the city wall of Zwolle is a city gate that was built in the late 14th and early 15th century as part of the city defenses. In 1893, the municipality of Zwolle donated the Sassenpoort to the State of the Netherlands to house the national archives. The building has since lost its function.
