The sweet and sour version with organic sweetness Vita Biosa is a certified organic herbal fermented drink from Denmark based on two of nature's greatest inventions: lactic acid bacteria and herbs. It contains eight different strains of live cultures of lactic acid, organic acids and 19 carefully selected herbs. The unique mixture of herbs, acids and bacteria gives Vita Biosa a fresh and pleasantly sour taste. Vita Biosa is a natural product that is free from artificial preservatives, sugar, gluten and lactose. It is naturally preserved through a fermentation process in which the herbs and lactic acid bacteria are mixed with water and cane molasses. The bacteria consume the sugars in the molasses and convert them into organic acids. The lactic acid gives Vita Biosa a self-preserving effect. Once all the sugar in the molasses has been consumed, the fermentation process is complete and the product is sugar-free. The finished product then only contains extracts of herbs, organic acids and lactic acid bacteria.
