The VMP brand has been producing handmade, high-quality belts with interchangeable VMP buckles in our production facility in Italy for over 40 years. Each belt is sent in a high-quality VMP bag and with a VMP item label. With our belts and the original changing system of matching clasps, more than a million combinations can be put together individually - the right belt for every day and every occasion. In the production of a belt, all work steps are still carried out by hand, ranging from cutting to final inspection. A simple cowhide belt involves about 30 manual work steps. With more complex belts, e.g. our rivet belts, there are of course a few more work steps. The wide seam is of course still threaded through by hand on many belts. Quite traditionally as "housework", since the whole family still works in our production. When it comes to leather, we mainly use cowhide, but also calfskin. Our belts are reproduced every day in our production facility in Italy in order to keep the warehouse in Hamburg sorted and up-to-date for our customers. We only have our products made by hand from first-class, ecologically processed leather and attach great importance to the processing. Our aim is to operate sustainably and to manufacture high-quality products that are still functional and a pleasure to use even after many years.
