Light the stick and wait until it burns. After about 10 seconds, blow out the flame. Carefully observe the tip of the stick; if it glows, the incense stick is well lit. After about 30 seconds the stick will begin to smoulder and produce smoke; there should be no visible flame. If you don't see anything, it means the stick is not burning properly. Please try again. Use the large hole in the glass holder to place a tea light. Use it wisely Place the incense holder on a sturdy surface. Avoid placing near curtains or on paper. You can also extinguish the stick by holding it from the bottom and dipping the tip in water. Please note, even when the stick is out it may still be hot. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not leave it burning or smoldering unattended.
